Hope for the Homeless 2009
"Hope for the Homeless" - a reception to benefit Catholic Charities Housing Office was held on Monday November 2nd, 2009 at Franklin Terrace.

Persons of Hope
This year we honored the men, women and families who have hope
and are striving for a better tomorrow in CCHO’s programs.
Alexis Lewis, Jim Quinn and Charima Logan were honored as Persons of Hope. Bishop Hubbard shared with attendees that "homelessness is not a disease, a diagnosis or a choice rather homelessness is a symptom of poverty. The homeless are us.
[The three honorees] represent the dignity of the human person and the resiliency of the human spirit. They represent the ability of people to overcome hurt, pain, suffering and loss, to be reborn and to build a new life for themselves."
The Housing Office was proud to acknowledge the great courage and indefatigable spirit of Charisma, Jim and Alexis for they are a source of inspirition and motivation to us and to others.
